The Managing Directors of Clearway Capital bring a fresh approach having worked for both the “buy” and “sell” sides of the investment industry. We believe this is a strong combination of the relevant skills and experience required to build a successful business in this field. Holding senior roles at these organisations Joseph developed relationships with prospective and existing pension and institutional clients as well as a number of important Australian asset consulting firms. He has an enviable track record of sales to many of the key players in our regional market. At Clearway Capital his primary responsibilities are to initiate, maintain and strengthen relationships between Clearway Capital, the funds management firms we are engaged with and their current and prospective clients. He is also responsible for coordinating the efficient implementation of mandates and for the ongoing satisfaction of investors and consultants with the quality of services provided. Joseph holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. Dennis Mothoneos, CAIA
With over 14 years experience in investment research and analysis, portfolio management, consulting, manufacturing, development and marketing; he has in-depth knowledge of the internal decision making processes of these organisations. He has worked at a number of consulting firms and fund managers including van Eyk Research and Strategic Capital Management Limited (lead consultant for the Military Superannuation Benefits Scheme) and alongside a number of pension and institutional clients. Dennis has also been a member of several Investment Committees and Advisory Boards making or overseeing key investment decisions on behalf of large pension funds, providing valuable insight into their portfolio management processes. At Clearway Capital his primary responsibilities are to originate investments, conduct due diligence on prospective investment opportunities and to initiate and maintain mutually beneficial relationships between Clearway Capital’s investment partners, pension fund clients and their asset consultants. Dennis is also responsible for providing consulting services to investment managers seeking to develop their products in the Australian pension fund and institutional investor marketplace. Dennis is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Applied Finance from Macquarie University and a Master of Business Administration (Financial Management) from Macquarie Graduate School of Management and is a member of the CAIA Association, CFA Institute and CFA Society of Sydney. Renaye Ortiz
Renaye has responsibility for financial accounting as well as for a number of other compliance, operational and company review functions. She was most recently Company Accountant at Caledonia (Private) Investments Pty Ltd and her prior roles have encompassed accounting, compliance, administration and company secretarial responsibilities. Since entering the workforce in 1998 Renaye has acquired a broad array of experience and skills, having worked for businesses in the fields of investment management, transport infrastructure, gold mining and pharmaceutical research. Renaye's deep knowledge across a number of business critical areas allows the Principals to be fully focused on providing quality research and business development services to Clearway Capital's clients. Renaye has a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Macquarie University and is currently completing her studies to become a Certified Practicing Accountant. |
